Learning to fly takes a lifetime. Catching the wind, falling.
Trying to find the sky, searching for a new breeze. To soar
on your own. Free. A challenge. Fly, try.
a journey of the NOW. sharing my voice through my eye.

NOW
While trying to fly in a wind too strong
Now’s wing was shattered and ended her song
Of flight and freedom and joy.
But careful hands to her did bring
Tools and love and steel and string
To help her fly once more.
She forgot her fear as she took to the air
And never looked back at the pain that was there
And she soared to the end of her binding.
Tethered to earth, but high in the sky
By a gossamer thread that held her so high
She flew above all that she’d known.
The string that seemed to limit her flight
But allowed her to reach that incredible height
Was stronger than anything known.
It was love from which the string was twined
That allowed her to reach the heights she would find.
Without it she’d crash to the ground.
i re*member that fine summer afternoon and the promise of the kite that i made a promise to. indeed, and then i gave it to you 'cause i knew it was time for you to grow and use your beautiful wings and the kite would share the way.
"if you don't fly the kite
the kite will take revenge
it will come and burn down the cabin
where you like to play pretend
but can you really blame the kite in the end
i mean wouldn't you
if you had wings
and you couldn't use them
howling for the now
